We are excited to announce that from 17 April 2019, York Road Garage will be selling Cook frozen ready meals from our SPAR convenience store.
Cook have a range of premium meals that are prepared by hand using the same ingredients and techniques as a good cook would at home. 24 of their dishes won Great Taste Awards in 2018.
Cook are committed to using higher welfare meat, fish and dairy products and source most of their ingredients from the UK.
Dishes include Chicken and Leek Pie, Beef Bourguignon, Lasagne Al Forno, Lamb Tagine, Fish Pie and Red Lentil and Mixed Bean Casserole.
The Cook range will include:
- Main dishes for 1. Single portion beef, lamb, chicken fish and vegetarian options
- Main dishes to share between 2 people. Including dishes like Coq au Vin, Beef Stroganoff or Mushroom Risotto.
- Main Dishes for 4+ people including large pies for 6 and dishes for 4 people to share like Cottage Pie or Lamb Tagine or Fish Pie perfect for a quick family meal or a special occasion dinner
- Deserts for 2 or 6 people to share including a Bramley Apple Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding
- A take away menu with a wide range of Indian and Thai dishes with sides including Coconut Rice and Bombay Potatoes
We have tasted these meals and they are delicious and we are thrilled to be able to bring Cook to the village of Escrick and surrounding areas. We believe it will enhance our food offering and give our customers something a bit special and different. Whether you are home alone and don’t fancy cooking, having a last minute gathering of friends or a romantic night in for 2, Cook have something for every occasion. We COOK so you don’t have to.
