Jos Richardson & Son Acquire Budgens at Gilberdyke

Family business Jos Richardson & Son are pleased to announce the purchase of local convenience store Budgens in Gilberdyke. The purchase of the business adds a ninth site to their existing portfolio of petrol forecourts.

Commenting on the acquisition, Managing Director Joseph Richardson said ‘We are delighted to have purchased Budgens in Gilberdyke. The store has a very good reputation locally and we want to continue offering the people of Gilberdyke and surrounding areas the highest standards of customer service and value.

Joseph added ‘Budgens has been run by Philip and Lesley Whitaker since the late 1980’s and they have developed the store considerably over the years. They are now selling up to enjoy a well-earned retirement and we wish them every happiness in the future. We look forward to working with the existing team to build on the great work that Philip and Lesley have done over the years. This is the first of our sites to focus solely on convenience and we are very excited by this new chapter for our Company’.
