Graham Andrews

25 years at local family firm for Director Graham Andrews

Graham Andrews, Director at Jos Richardson & Son Ltd, celebrates 25 years with the firm this year.  Graham joined Richwood Garage in Goole as Sales Manager in 1991 and was initially responsible for the Peugeot franchise.

In 1993 Graham was appointed General Manager. This marked a time in this business when there was much change.  “Aftersales was becoming a more important part of the dealership business” remembers Graham “and we were working long hours especially on the development of a new petrol station at Glews. We worked hard but I have fond memories of working alongside Tim Richardson and the rest of the team to achieve some great results.”

In 1997 Graham was appointed a Director which was testament to the commitment he had given to the business.  When asked what it has been like working for Glews over the years Graham says “there is no doubt there have been challenging times, but this job has given me opportunities to develop and I have been able to contribute to many areas of the business. The most enjoyable part of this job is the people, my colleagues and our customers, and I have made many great friends, that is the real reward.”

Joseph Richardson, Managing Director said “Graham made a huge contribution to the success of the dealership over the years and now is instrumental in our plans and developments for the future, playing a much valued role in the Truck Stop development at Glews and managing our IT and communications systems for the whole group. We thank him for his loyal service and look forward to working with him in the years to come.”

The team at Glews celebrated Graham’s quarter century with a round of applause and cake. Graham was presented with a gift by Jane Richardson, Director at Jos Richardson and Son Ltd who also made a speech in which she said it was a great achievement to work anywhere for 25 years and she hoped this meant that Graham had enjoyed his time at Jos Richardson & Son as much as they had enjoyed working with him.  She also thanked him for his hard work and for his friendship to the Richardson family and his colleagues at Glews.
